Theorem

The following formula holds for $x>0$ and $y>0$: $$\exp \left( x \right) > \left( 1 + \dfrac{x}{y} \right)^y > \exp \left( \dfrac{xy}{x+y} \right),$$ where $\exp$ denotes the exponential.
