The havercosine function $\mathrm{havercos} \colon \mathbb{C} \rightarrow \mathbb{C}$ is defined by $$\mathrm{havercos}(\theta) = \dfrac{1+\cos(\theta)}{2},$$ where $\cos$ denotes cosine.
