Theorem

The following formula holds: $$\mathrm{coth}(\mathrm{gd}^{-1}(x))=\csc(x),$$ where $\mathrm{coth}$ is the hyperbolic cotangent, $\mathrm{gd}^{-1}$ is the inverse Gudermannian, and $\csc$ is the cosecant.
