Cosine

The cosine function, $\cos \colon \mathbb{C} \rightarrow \mathbb{C}$ is defined by the formula $$\cos(z)=\dfrac{e^{iz}-e^{-iz}}{2},$$ where $e^z$ is the exponential function.
