The following formula holds: $$e_q(iz)=\cos_q(z)+i\sin_q(z),$$ where $e_q$ is the $q$-exponential $e_q$, $\cos_q$ is the $q$-$\cos$ function and $\sin_q$ is the $q$-$\sin$ function.
